Heraklion Nature-Lovers Association
It was February 2010 when people who loved Cretan nature joined forces, wanting to get to know it better and walk through it from end to end. Hiking is the main activity, and small children also participate in many routes. Members traverse gorges, follow trails both within and outside Crete, and organize trips abroad.
Those who take part in the club's excursions have the opportunity to discover the "secrets" of Cretan nature, learn about the history of each area, explore archaeological sites and monuments. At the same time, it provides an excellent opportunity to escape from the routine of everyday life.
Excursions are organized every Sunday, and the routes are announced in the media and on the club's website.
