An old café in this scenic village has been transformed into one of the hottest spots in the area. To reach Voritsi, you’ll need to venture away from the coast and wind your way through beautiful, small settlements. The café, which has been in operation for over a century, is still run by a member of the Konstantoulakis family.

Treat yourself to traditional Cretan dishes like kapriko with wood-fired potatoes and hearty kokkinisto. The meze arrives on small plates, and you'll find an impressive selection of Cretan beers along with excellent wine.

One tip: leave your phone in your bag because there's no signal or internet here! If you have kids, choose a table near the square where they can enjoy the swings with a view of Pediada. But be careful—the location is high up and overlooks a steep drop.
