Dourountous Bakery began with grandma Anna, who crossed the Samaria Gorge to marry in Sfakia, bringing with her all her culinary secrets.

She soon shared these secrets with her daughters and daughter-in-law, who in turn passed them down to their children, who now run the bakery.
