On a street in the center of Chania, just four blocks from the town hall, there is a tavern that has become a haunt for those who want something different and special, far from what many seek!
Evgnonia, as Mr. Nektarios Halakatevakis tells us, caters to those who want to taste quality food, not to those who simply sit somewhere to enjoy the sea view.
Here, a discerning customer will sit, one who will be called to choose something from the tavern’s famous blackboard menu.
The fish served are selected from small and well-known Chania fishermen and not from fish farms. The products chosen are seasonal, so one finds a different menu in the summer and a different one in the winter, while the tavern’s cooked dishes are renowned.
