The events programme in Sitia is always vibrant and varied. It kicks off with a lively carnival party to get everyone in the spirit!

Following that, there's the Children's Treasure Hunt and plenty of ‘tsiknisma’ (aroma of grilled meat), along with raki and cauldrons filled with 'rakomelo' (honey raki) on Tsiknopempti (Barbecue Thursday)!

One week before Carnival Sunday, Sitia hosts its annual treasure hunt. Then, on the last Friday, the city comes alive with the White Carnival Night: the high streets are adorned with tables piled high with meze, abundant wine, and complimentary raki, courtesy of the city's shops!

The festivities continue into Saturday night, lasting until the early hours of the morning. Then, on the last Sunday of Carnival, don't miss the highlight: the Great Carnival Parade & Street Parties!
