Enjoy Crete: Sea Kayaking in Kali Limenes

This exciting kayak trip offers two potential routes depending on the experience of the group and prevailing weather conditions. The first option takes you to the stunning Cape Lithino and the charming village of Matala towards the west. The second option leads you to the picturesque fishing village of Lendas towards the east. Whichever route is chosen, both options provide ample opportunities for swimming and snorkelling.

This kayak trip is designed to accommodate participants of all skill levels. If the team has limited or no experience, the route will take you to the east side, which is less exposed to winds and waves. On the other hand, the west side of the coast offers a more dramatic landscape, characterised by towering cliffs reaching heights of over 400 metres, secluded beaches, magnificent caves, and intriguing rock formations. The paddling distance for this trip can vary between 12 and 20 kilometres, providing options to suit different preferences and abilities.

This particular trip is recommended for participants with skills close to level 4, as per the British Canoeing standard.
