First Stop: Apodoulou

Olive oil, carob, honey… just a few of the exceptional products proudly produced by the locals.
Here, you’ll find landmarks steeped in history and remarkable churches. If you’re lucky enough to visit at the end of summer, you might even join in the Wine Festival!

The main reason, however, to visit Apodoulou is its archaeological site, located about 1 km northwest of the village. It’s worth taking a walk back in time to the Minoan era!

Next Stop: Ambadia Café!

At the square in Apodoulou, take the opportunity to try traditional Cretan dishes. We recommend daily specials like chicken with beans.
Don’t miss out on the potato omelette or the locally gathered wild greens!

Fourfouras

A 15-minute drive away lies Fourfouras, another picturesque and beautiful village in the Municipality of Amari.

Take a walk through the alleys of the settlement and make your way to the Kato Vrisi Square. This is where, once upon a time, locals fed their animals and washed their clothes!
