Tasting Experience at Miliarakis Winery
ABOUT
At the entrance of the winery, you’ll be greeted by a pre-war bicycle once used to deliver wine to Heraklion, along with a historic Blackstone generator—the first to arrive in the village of Peza, providing power not only to the winery but also to half the village.
You’ll have the chance to visit a museum space showcasing old winemaking equipment: presses, pumps, manual bottling machines, and a traditional stone-built wine press. The same space also features historical photos of the winery, including a remarkable image of the Apollo astronauts holding MINOS wines!
Additionally, you’ll find a screening room, tasting rooms, and a shop. The winery’s visitor section is open daily, except Sundays, during the summer months (April to October). For the rest of the year, visits are available by appointment.
The tip of Local!
Wine is an experience, a magical process that engages all the senses. This is why Miliarakis Winery has thoughtfully established a wine tasting and presentation area within its Peza facilities.
