The Majestic Kotsifos Gorge
ABOUT
Kotsifos Gorge begins at the village of Kannevos and concludes in Plakias.
At its starting point, the gorge is narrow, measuring approximately 10 metres in width, which gradually widens to reach 600 metres. With a total length of 1,800 metres, its nearly vertical sides soar to a height of 600 metres.
Prepare to be captivated by the towering, imposing vertical rocks that offer breath-taking vistas.
Within the gorge, you'll discover the quaint Church of Agios Nikolaos, as well as two enchanting waterfalls. Descending further towards the gorge's base, you'll encounter the remnants of a traditional watermill and a charming old stone bridge.
