Mesavlia-Deliana Gorge: A Child-Friendly Trek with a River Journey
ABOUT
Located 37 kilometres west of Chania, the Mesavlia-Deliana Gorge is a charming and easily accessible destination. Spanning five kilometres in length, the gorge is adorned with chestnut and plane trees, creating a picturesque setting for hikers. Its short and straightforward one-hour crossing makes it a suitable option even for families with children. The journey commences in the village of Mesavlia and concludes in that of Deliana.
Within the gorge, a river flows, sourced from Mt Anavos. After traversing the entirety of the Mesavlia-Deliana Gorge, it continues its path through the Roka Gorge and ultimately reaches the shores of Nopigia Beach.
