Creta's Happy Divers: Diving in the Reef Just Outside Agios Nikolaos Port: Suitable for All Divers

Within a short 10-minute ferry ride west of Agios Nikolaos Port lies a small cape where your diving adventure begins. The highlight of this dive site is the discovery of two engines from an unidentified plane resting at a depth of 20-22 metres.

Following the reef from the shallower waters in a northeast direction, you'll head toward the open sea. The reef commences at 8 metres and gradually deepens as you proceed to the deepest section, reaching a maximum depth of 40 metres.

At this diving site, you'll encounter a diverse array of fish species, including white groupers, octopuses, moray eels, barracuda, and numerous shoals of smaller fish. Additionally, you'll discover sea anemones, sponges, and various types of marine vegetation.

This dive is suitable for divers of all skill levels, including beginners.
