Therisso Gorge
ABOUT
It is the only gorge in Crete that visitors can traverse by car. The road is paved and provides access from Chania through the city suburb of Perivolia.
The Therisso Gorge, also known as Eleftherios Venizelos Gorge, is the closest one to the city of Chania.
The main gorge is six kilometres long. Its impressive vertical rocky slopes and lush vegetation have nothing to envy from the larger gorges of Chania.
