Kefalas: A village worth visiting
ABOUT
Kefalas is a village with several accommodations around, built in a privileged location with views of both the White Mountains and the sea. It is believed that the village got its name from the Kefalades, aristocrats during the Byzantine period.
It is a classic, traditional village with impressive old churches, and the local architecture has been largely preserved. The village is situated at an altitude of 350 meters above sea level, with a population of 700 inhabitants.
In Kefalas, there is a grocery store, a supermarket, a café, and a tavern. Additionally, 2 km away, you will find the Ombrosgialos Bay with its vibrant sea, an ideal place for snorkeling or diving. Also, next to Kefalas, there is Palailoni, a small neighborhood with 15 houses.
