Cyclamen Gorge
ABOUT
Starting from the charming village of Aletrouvari, nestled at an elevation of 300 metres, begins the adventure into the Cyclamen Gorge, also known as Agios Georgios Gorge, Ai Giorgitiko Gorge, or Vante Gorge.
Many hikers opt to commence their exploration from the village of Agios Georgios, where during winter, the path is adorned with abundant cyclamens, enhancing the beauty of the surroundings. Throughout the gorge, numerous lakes dot the landscape, fed by the river originating from Drakona.
The gorge concludes at the settlement of Vante, situated at an altitude of 50 metres. With a moderate level of difficulty, the journey typically spans around 2 hours, offering a rewarding experience amidst nature's splendour.
