Archaeological Museum of Messara

This museum showcases exhibits from the most important periods of the civilization of Messara and southern Crete from prehistoric times to the Christian era.

The Archaeological Museum of Messara was inaugurated in April 2023 and is located at
Abelouzo.
It is 2,900 square metres, purpose built with exhibition rooms, a projection and conference room, a temporary exhibition hall, an inner courtyard suitable for events, a museum a shop and comfortable access areas for the visitors. It also offers exhibition activities and serves refreshments.
