School of Education, University of Crete

It was established in 1995 and comprised the Department of Primary Education and the Department of Early Childhood Education. 

Its aim is to advance Education Sciences, foster teaching and research development, and provide scientific and professional training for future teachers and nursery school educators. 

The Departments of the School also offer postgraduate and doctoral degrees through their Postgraduate Programmes and Interdepartmental Postgraduate Programmes. Additionally, research activities are conducted by numerous Laboratories and Research Centres within the Departments, covering a wide range of subjects related to the educational objectives and academic activities of the school.
