1st Stop: A Rendezvous with Nature!

Livadi Plateau may greet you with a blanket of snow.

During winter, be cautious, as the temperatures here drop significantly, and the roads can be dangerous.

Nevertheless, the area offers a serene opportunity to stroll among pear and apple orchards while taking in the stunning views.

Next, we’ll head to Krousonas, just 9 kilometers from the plateau.

The locals of this mountain village lovingly tend to their olive trees and other crops in the surrounding area. Krousonas is a picturesque place, where even the older homes have been beautifully renovated by young couples who choose to build their lives here. The village hosts many cultural events, keeping its lively spirit intact.

If you’re in the mood for local delicacies, stop by the "Kroussaniotissa" Agricultural Cooperative

Whether you prefer savory kalitsounia or sweet spoon desserts, we highly recommend trying the famous ploumisto koulouri—not only delicious but also a true work of art!

Final Stop: A Taste of Tradition

To round off your excursion, a meal is in order.

For a traditional dining experience, we suggest a visit to the historic Karamboutze café. Here, you’ll savor authentic Cretan meze, with the highlight being a hearty dish of boiled lamb with pilaf—the perfect way to end a memorable day in the countryside!
