Drymiskiano (Drimiskiano) Ammoudi is situated near the village of Drymiskos, in the southern part of Rethymno.

The beach is not equipped with facilities, but you can find scattered sunbeds with parasols, as well as tamarisk trees that provide shade for bathers.

The beach features a combination of pebbles and sand, and its waters are exceptionally clear. It offers a peaceful and tranquil environment, perfect for quiet swimming, as most visitors are drawn to the nearby Preveli Beach.

In the adjacent bays, you can engage in snorkelling and uncover the enchantment of the underwater world.

Ammoudi is a collection of bays situated 4 kilometres to the east of Plakias.

Megalo Ammoudi Beach, often referred to simply as Ammoudi, is not entirely equipped with facilities but does offer some amenities such as parasols, tavernas, and accommodation in the form of guest rooms.

This beach features coarse white sand and crystal-clear green waters, and its rocky seabed makes it an excellent location for scuba diving enthusiasts to explore.

The tamarisk trees that dot the sandy shoreline provide delightful shade, making them perfect spots for relaxation and rest.

Ligres is situated 51 kilometres to the south of Rethymno, just below the village of Agia Paraskevi, nestled at the base of Mt Siderotas.

Ligres is a lengthy beach with coarse sand and deep waters. While it may not be very well-equipped with facilities, it does offer a taverna and accommodation in the form of guest rooms for visitors.

At the very point where the beach comes to an end, you'll find a waterfall that flows consistently throughout the year, leaving a lasting impression on every visitor.

Don't miss the chance to take a stroll and admire the fantastic geological formations in the Xiromilia area, located a bit further from the beach.

Damnoni Beach is situated at the mouth of a spacious valley, encircled by mountains, and it spans approximately 600 metres in length. It features coarse white sand and is graced by the presence of a small river.

This beach is well-equipped, offering the convenience of lifeguard services, as well as options for renting parasols and sunbeds. There is also a free, open area for those who prefer it. Additionally, nestled among the tamarisk trees, you'll find a hidden taverna, providing a serene dining option.

At this beach, visitors have the opportunity to indulge in water sports activities. Moreover, there is the option of staying in guest rooms available for rent.

If you venture towards the western end of Damnoni Beach, you will come across small bays with a combination of sand and pebbles. Here, you can enjoy a peaceful swim in a serene and tranquil environment.

Triopetra: among Crete's most renowned beaches. Especially cherished and frequented is Triopetra—an expanse of soft sand framed by clear, azure waters. Named for its three prominent rocks (Triopetra = Three Rocks), the beach lacks amenities, inviting you to linger until sunset, revelling in breath-taking vistas. Shade is scarce, save for the shelter of a nearby cave. A truly exceptional coastline, offering crystalline waters in line with the island's overall allure.
